We're now celebrating our 6th year as publishers of The Country Register of New York!
I first learned of The Country Register when my parents,
Merle and Gail Taylor, became the editors for the Maryland paper. They love publishing
the paper. My father kept telling me that Virginia needed an editor and that
I should do it because advertising, marketing and newspapers are almost second
nature to me. I seriously became interested as my husband, David, and I began
talking more and more about having children. The newspaper would offer me a way
to spend time raising our children while also having a job I'd enjoy. That was
June, 1999 and our first Virginia issue was July-August, 1999. Our first child
Rachel was born on May 16, 2000 and our second child, Grace, was born February
13, 2005. We started publishing The Country Register of New York with the May/June
'03 issue. My parents now also publish The Country Register of Delaware/New Jersey,
NC/SC, and IN. We really do have a Country Register Family! Whether you are a
reader or a potential advertiser, please join us.
The Country Register of New York is a free bimonthly publication which promotes
antique, country, Victorian and collectible shops; artisans; doll and bear lovers;
crafters and craft shows; quilts and needlework; gardening; home and garden shows;
tea rooms and unique eateries; bed and breakfasts and much more. We like to feature
a New York artist's work on each full-color front cover (contact us if you'd
like your artwork on the cover). The Country Register is all about good
news, lighthearted stories, recipes, projects, and shows and events listings.

Copies are also available via subscription, and
at welcome centers, local tourism centers, and selected craft and antique shows.
